Ruaha national park

About the Park

Recently the park became the largest national park in East Africa and, after Kafue National Park in Zambia, the second largest wildlife protection area in Africa. Ruaha is Tanzania's biggest elephant santuary. Its name derives from the great Ruaha River which flows along its easter border, creating spectacular gorges.
